The millionaire husband of celebrity chef Nigella Lawson is admitting that he assaulted the domestic goddess at a popular London restaurant.
Advertising tycoon Charles Saatchi was questioned by police for four hours Monday and received an official warning.
"I thought it was better than the alternative of this hanging over all of us for months," he told the London Evening Standard newspaper.
The photo of Saatchi with his hand around Nigella's throat has created an international firestorm. He was also photographed covering Nigella's mouth with his hand last December.
Nigella, a bestselling author who was recently a judge on ABC's The Taste, has left their home with her two children from a previous marriage.
