Melissa Etheridge Under Fire Over Angelina Jolie Comments

Rocker Melissa Etheridge is coming under fire for comments she made about Angelina Jolie's decision to get a preventive double mastectomy, saying it was not "brave" but a "fearful choice."

Etheridge is herself a breast cancer survivor.

She said, "I wouldn't call it the brave choice. I actually think it's the most fearful choice you can make when confronting anything with cancer."

Now, Brad Pitt is weighing in, saying, "Melissa’s an old friend of mine. I'm sure we'll talk on the phone."

Etheridge released a follow up statement, saying, "I don't have any opinion of what she 'should have' done. All are free to choose. I only objected to the term 'brave' describing it."
