Perlis is 91 years old. That’s right, 91. He just set the world record in the bench press lifting the most weight for someone his age. He lifted a whopping 187 pounds—that's twice his age.
He told INSIDE EDITION, “I've been doing this for God knows how long.”
He has been lifting competitively for the last four years, winning the Arizona state title for guys over 85.
INSIDE EDITION caught up with him in his gym outside Phoenix where he works out two hours-a-day. He credits his much younger wife Joan for keeping his eyes on the prize.
