Post-Zimmerman Trial, Racial Tensions Surface
While Oprah gives her stance on the N-word, a Philadelphia Eagles football player is apologizing after being caught using the same racial slur. Then, George Zimmerman pulled over by the police. INSIDE EDITION reports.
Orpah Winfrey says there's one word she will not use and won't tolerate in her presence and that's the N-word.
"You can not be my friend and use that word around me." she told Parade Magazine. "It shows my age but I feel stongly about it. I always think about the millions of people who heard that as their last word as they were hanging from a tree."
Meanwhile, a Philadelphia Eagles football player is asking for forgiveness after he was caught on tape using the N-word at a Kenny Chesney concert.
You can hear wide receiver Riley Cooper saying "I will fight every [expletive] in here."
He later apologized saying, "I wasn't raised that way. I've got a great mom and dad at home and they're extremely, extremely disappointed."
Meanwhile, George Zimmerman keeps making news three weeks after being found not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin. His SUV was pulled over in Texas.
Zimmerman was stopped for speeding in Forney, Texas, about 30 miles outside Dallas. He immediately informed the officer that there was a gun in the glove compartment.
You can hear the officer telling Zimmerman, "Just take it easy, don't play... go ahead and shut your glove compartment and don't play with your firearm, okay?"
Zimmerman was given a verbal warning but no ticket.
The officer ended the incident by saying, "Alright sir, just slow down a little bit for me, okay?"
