Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition Celebrates 50 Years of Success

INSIDE EDITION caught up with Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition model Julie Henderson as the magazine celebrated 50 Years of Beautiful.
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue is celebrating a big milestone with the publication of the book, Swimsuit: 50 Years of Beautiful.
The large-scale, 304-page book features the most iconic images from the magazine's swimsuit history. Photos that sent the careers of Christie Brinkley, Kathy Ireland and, most recently, Kate Upton into the stratosphere.
INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent had the pleasure of giving model Julie Henderson her first look at her picture in the book.
Henderson jokingly said, "That's a really unrevealing picture."
By the way, it's not a bathing suit Julie's wearing—her swimsuit was painted on!
Trent asked Henderson, "How long did it take?"
Henderson replied, "The painting took 16 hours, and to shoot it took 30 minutes."
For Jessica White, appearing in the swimsuit issue was a dream come true, but hanging out on the beach in a bikini is not her thing.
White said, "I do not like the beach, I'm not a beach girl. I just work on the beach, I am a city girl."
The book went on sale today.
