Beyoncé Surprises Fans With Secret Album Release

At the stroke of midnight on Friday, Beyoncé surprised the music world by releasing an album of new material and 17 music videos to go along with it. INSIDE EDITION explains how she pulled it off.
It came out of nowhere—a top-secret new album by Beyoncé!
The album was released without any promotion—an unprecedented play in the music industry that typically features months of ads and hype prior to release.
Beyoncé said about the album, "I felt that I didn't want anybody to give the message about my album when it comes out."
She even released 17 different videos at the same time to promote the album. It was so hush-hush, only top insiders knew she was even working on a new album.
Dawnie Walton, managing editor of Essence magazine said, "It is really incredible when you think about the amount of work that went into this project, and yet, everyone kept it top secret."
One reviewer says, “The secrecy around the album was so great, the National Security Agency, could learn a thing or two about leak-proofing from Beyoncé."
The album went on sale at midnight, and almost immediately demand for the songs and the videos were so great that iTunes crashed.
Walton said, "500,000 tweets on Twitter. It is crashing iTunes. It is projected to be No. 1 on the Billboard charts. It is incredible. It is epic."
Beyoncé shot a video with two-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy. In another video, she plays a beauty pageant queen. In another video, she pays tribute to New York’s world-famous amusement park, Coney Island.
