Aaron Rodgers Denies Gay Rumors While Brian Boitano Comes Out

NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers is denying rumors that he's gay, while former Olympic skater Brian Boitano is embracing his own coming out. INSIDE EDITION has more.

He's one of pro football's biggest names. Now, Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is denying rumors sweeping the internet that he's gay.

"I'm just going to say I'm not gay.  I really, really like women.  That's all I can really say about that," Rodgers said in an ESPN radio interview.

Rodgers spoke out on his weekly radio show after the gay rumors reached a fever pitch on internet gossip websites.

The headline on perezhilton.com says: "Green Bay Packers' Aaron Rodgers Allegedly Outed By Ex-Boyfriend."

The gay rumors started after Rodgers' longtime personal assistant sent out this mysterious tweet: "I wish you would learn to love people and use things. Not the other way around."

Supposedly, Rodgers and his assistant, who have been seen everywhere together, recently broke up.

Rodgers, who stars in TV commercials for State Farm Insurance, says he's taking the false gay rumors in stride.

"There's always going to be silly stuff out there in the media that just you can't worry too much about, and I don't," stated Rodgers.

Meanwhile, legendary figure skater Brian Boitano is giving his first TV interview since confirming at long last that he is gay.

Boitano won the Olympic gold medal in 1988 and made his first public announcement about being gay last week on the Today show, saying, "I never thought I'd be coming out."

The Today show's Matt Lauer said, "Can I say, and please don't take this the wrong way, I wasn't shocked."

Boitano is a member of the official U.S. delegation to the upcoming Winter Olympics in Russia. He decided to come out in a protest of Russia's anti-gay laws.

"I intend to still be a private man, just a private gay man that people know now," concluded Boitano.
