Woman's Long Name Poses Identification Problem

INSIDE EDITION spoke to Janice Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele. Those 35 letters comprise a traditional Hawaiian last name, which Janice took when she got married.

INSIDE EDITION’s Les Trent asked, "How long did it take you to learn to say and spell your last name?"

She said, "Five days, actually!"

But it spelled "disaster" for Janice when her driver's license only had room for 34 letters of her last name. Plus, there was no room for her first name.

She said, "I got stopped for a traffic ticket. The policeman looked at my license and said, 'What is this? Where's your first name?'”

So, she made noise about it and Hawaiian authorities heard her cry, and made room for her complete last name, as well as her first and middle names.
