Hunks Kellan Lutz and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson are both playing Hercules in two different films this year. INSIDE EDITION sizes up the competition.
Hercules is back! Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz is flexing his muscles starring as the demi-god in The Legend of Hercules. In it, the 6'1" star shows off his toned body and does he look good!
But he isn't the only Hercules. Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, also plays the legendary muscleman in Hercules: The Thracian Wars. The Rock clearly isn't intimidated by the competition. He tweeted a photo showing off his muscles, and wrote: "Lutz is a good kid. I love competition. Bring it on."
The Hollywood Reporter says it's shaping up to be quite a battle at the box office. Editor Rebecca Ford told INSIDE EDITION, "Kellan Lutz is more of a rising star but has the Twilight fan base which includes a lot of young women."
Many have played Hercules over the years, starting in 1958 when Steve Reeves starred in the Italian-made sword and sandals flick.
Arnold Schwarzenegger got his big break in the 1969 movie Hercules in New York even though his thickly-accented voice was dubbed.
Who could forget the TV series starring Kevin Sorbo? Now 55, Sorbo says that he was typecast as Hercules and it ruined his career.
He said, "In Hollywood I get the door slammed in my face constantly."
Hopefully that won't happen to either Lutz or The Rock as they get ready to battle it out at the box office.
