Defending Woody Allen
Stacy Nelkin, who dated Woody Allen when she was just 17 years old, is coming to his defense. INSIDE EDITION speaks with both Nelkin, and Woody Allen's lawyer.
Stacy Nelkin dated Woody Allen when she was still in high school and he was 42 years old. And today, she's defending him against those shocking allegations that he molested his daughter, Dylan more than 20 years ago when she was seven years old.
Nelkin told INSIDE EDITION, "This is a character assassination of the lowest, lowest order here. I do not believe that he molested Dylan. I do not believe it."
Woody Allen's affair with 17-year-old Stacey Nelkin was the inspiration for his classic 1979 movie, Manhattan starring Mariel Hemingway. In the film, Allen's character says, "What do you do when she's 17? I'm older than her father."
INSIDE EDITION's Paul Boyd said to Nelkin, "You were 17. He was 42."
"I was always interested in older men. I came from a badly broken home and I was always looking for daddy," said Nelkin.

She says that when the allegations of child molestation first erupted in 1993, a representative of Mia Farrow tried to get her to say she was only 15, under age at the time of her affair Woody Allen.
Nelkin recalled, "They said, 'Mia would like to know if you would be willing to agree that you were indeed 15 when you and Woody were dating. That's true, right?' And I said, 'Absolutely not! I was not 15.' "
Boyd asked, "Someone from Mia Farrow's camp tried to convince you to lie about your relationship with Woody Allen?"
"Yeah," responded Nelkin.
She says she believes the shocking allegations are being raised again to promote the MSNBC talk show starring Woody Allen's estranged son, Ronan, which premieres this month.
"This is all coming to the surface again now because Ronan has a big show coming out and we all know press is very important when you're trying to get a show off the ground," said Nelkin.
Woody Allen's attorney is also speaking out. Elkan Abramowitz says Dylan is being used as a pawn in the decades-old feud between Woody and Mia Farrow, and that Mia convinced her she had been molested.
"I really believe Mia Farrow has to be behind it," said Abramowitz. "Dylan Farrow really has been poisoned from age seven into believing that she was molested. I truly believe that she actually believes it today. Our quarrel is not with her. In fact, Mr. Allen feels very sad about this, that she was used as a pawn in their fight, in Mia Farrow's and his fight 20 years ago, and she's still a pawn in their fight."

Meanwhile, Barbara Walters and co-host Sherri Shepherd kissed and made up on The View Tuesday after that on air spat over Woody Allen.
Whoopi Goldberg commented on The View, "I'm telling you, it has gone around the world, the two of you talking about this."
Walters said, "I got attacked for looking as if I was doubting Dylan's story. I wasn't. I don't know whether it was true."
Goldberg said, "You were just saying what you knew from your experience."
"From both of these people," confirmed Walters.
