The very next night, he was telling jokes to a cheering crowd in Sarasota, Florida, and making fun of a hemorrhoid website! He joked, “If I want to see hemorrhoids, I'll go to the bathroom with a hand mirror!"
The man who just can't stop working, chatted with a maintenance man outside his hotel the next day. He also appeared in a touching photo with Mavis, his wife of 34 years.
Leno told his viewers on his final The Tonight Show appearance, "This has been the greatest 22 years of my life."
Everyone's still talking about Leno's rare display of emotion, as he broke down crying during his The Tonight Show farewell last Thursday night. He ended the show by saying, "In closing, I want to quote Johnny Carson. He was the greatest guy to ever to do this job. He said, ‘I bid you all a heartfelt good night.’"
Who could have dreamed that Leno would be back working so soon?
