The Anticipated 'Son of God' Opens Friday

Son of God opens in theatres this Friday, and INSIDE EDITION reports on the much anticipated release.
The eagerly-anticipated Son of God movie, which tells the story of Jesus Christ, reveals big news about the character you won't be seeing.
Producers Mark Burnett and Roma Downey played it for laughs, but they're dead serious about cutting Satan from their new film because some say the character, who appeared in their blockbuster TV miniseries, looks too much like President Obama!
Downey explained, "I was fed up with it being such a distraction. I wanted everybody to be talking about Jesus."

INSIDE EDITION’s Megan Alexander asked Burnett, “Do you have a favorite scene?”
Burnett responded, "That walking on water scene. Peter stepped out of the boat and actually was able to walk on water as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus."
The film doesn't open until Friday, but half a million tickets have already been sold, which translates to $4 million in advanced sales.
Downey said, “It’s amazing, it really sends us the momentum, the groundswell of support!”
Diogo Morgado who plays Jesus is not surprised by the advanced sales. He told INSIDE EDITION, "This is a story of the world. It belongs to the world."
