Has The Holy Grail Been Found?
Two researchers are making a case in a new book that the cherished Holy Grail has been found. INSIDE EDITION explains.
Has the Holy Grail, the legendary cup of Christ from The Last Supper, the most sought-after relic in Christianity, been found?
The news is creating a worldwide sensation.
The jewel-encrusted chalice has been in the care of a church in Spain for the last 1,000 years.
Two researchers make the case that they have found the Holy Grail in their new book, Kings of the Grail. They claim the grail was carried on a 3,000 mile odyssey from Jerusalem to Cairo, across the Mediterranean to the ancient port city of Denia in Southern Spain. Then, it went overland to the city of Leon.
Many experts are skeptical.
INSIDE EDITION’s Megan Alexander spoke with professor Robert Cargill at the University of Iowa.
She asked, "Is there any possibility that this could be the Holy Grail?"
He replied, "There is absolutely no possibility whatsoever that this could be the Holy Grail. Every legitimate scholar, any scholar teaching at a major university, no one would believe this claim or any other Grail claim. There is nothing whatsoever about this cup that says that it would be the cup of a poor Jewish carpenter.

The Grail didn't always look the way it does today. It is actually two goblets fused together and it was encrusted with jewels to disguise it. Carbon dating confirms it is about 2,000 years old.
The search for the Holy Grail has been the stuff of legend for centuries and the inspiration for movies like The Da Vinci Code and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Now, with Easter just three weeks away, is the search for the Holy Grail finally over?
