He's Alive! Stephen Collins Suicide Rumors After Shocking Molestation Allegations

After allegations of child molestation against Stephen Collins were made public, cops were called to the home of the 7th Heaven actor over fears he committed suicide. INSIDE EDITION explains.
Police rushed to the home of disgraced 7th Heaven star Stephen Collins amid reports of a possible suicide.
The rumors took off after a tweet from a neighbor, none other than former Baywatch star Donna D'Errico.
“That guy from 7th Heaven...Just shot himself a few minutes ago,” she tweeted
Donna D'Errico lives two blocks away from the home of Stephen Collins. She said a neighbor told her Collins had killed himself but it turned out he wasn't even home.
She told INSIDE EDITION, “I shouldn't have ever tweeted it. I tweeted out an apology and I deleted it when I found out it was a false report.”

The suicide scare followed the staggering allegation that Collins, who played a dad of seven on the hit TV drama 7th Heaven, was recorded confessing to unspeakable acts of child abuse.
The recording, first obtained by the website TMZ, was reportedly made in secret during a therapy session between Collins and his estranged wife, the actress Faye Grant, in 2012.
In divorce papers obtained by INSIDE EDITION, Grant paints a truly disturbing picture of what she says the actor is really like. She claims he molested three victims, one in Los Angeles and two in New York, but that there may be other victims.
INSIDE EDITION spoke to former 7th Heaven co-star Kyle Searles who says he's in shock
He said, “Obviously, he was leading a double life. I would have not had any problem leaving my little sister with Stephen for an extended period of time. It makes me question my judge of character from now on because it's so unbelievable.”

Collins is now fighting back, accusing his estranged wife of trying to blackmail him. His attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan said Faye Grant “...repeatedly threatened to give this audiotape to the media unless Stephen agreed to pay her millions of dollars.”
HLN host Nancy Grace spoke to INSIDE EDITION and said "It doesn't matter how the truth comes to light, it may leave a bad taste in the jury's mouth but if the tape is real, then he is in a lot of legal hot water."
But Grant is denying she leaked the tape. She said in a statement: "I woke up today to learn than an extremely private recording I handed over to the authorities in 2012 per their request in connection with a criminal investigation was recently disseminated to the media. I had no involvement whatsoever with the release of the tape to the media."
Until now, Collins had a wholesome image. TV Guide once listed the "Best TV Dads of All Time,” Collins' character from 7th Heaven was ranked No. 11. He once even gave out Thanksgiving meals to the homeless in Los Angeles.
Collins is in hiding. A day before the scandal erupted, passenger Zoë Weintraub took photos of Collins making frantic phone calls at JFK Airport in New York just before taking off for Los Angeles.
She told INSIDE EDITION, "He looked anxious, he was pacing around the airport before boarding. It definitely looked like he was nervous and looked like he was talking to someone about something urgent."
