Is a claim made my Oksana Grigorieva that Mel Gibson hit her backed up by just-released photos? INSIDE EDITION has the latest.
You've heard the words, now there's the picture. A photo of Oksana Grigorieva's broken front teeth, an injury she claims to have suffered at the hands of an out-of-control Mel Gibson.
On the audio taped conversation between Gibson and Grigorieva, she said: "You were hitting a woman with a child in her hands. You, what kind of man is that? Hitting a woman when she's holding a child in her hands! Breaking her teeth, twice in the face? What kind of man is that?"
You can see from the photo posted on radaronline.com, that one front tooth is chipped, while the smaller one is missing its veneer cap.
INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret reports from the house where Oksana Grigorieva is living, and keeping a low profile. The shocking photo was reportedly taken just hours after the blowup that Oksana says left her in fear for her life. A blowup that could result in criminal charges against Mel Gibson.
David Perel, Executive Vice President of radaronline.com said, 'We're talking about a fight at Mel's house on January 6th, earlier this year. This is the fight where Oksana says Mel punched her in the face and knocked out two teeth."
Gibson's audiotaped reply to Oksana's assault accusation is both eerie and chilling.
Gibson: "Mmmm, oh, you're all angry now. ____ deserved it."
Grigorieva: "You're going to answer one day, boy, you're going to answer."
Grigorieva is seeking full custody of the baby she had with Gibson. On the audiotapes, Gibson delivered his opinon of her mothering skills.
Gibson: "You ___ excuse for a mother!"
Gibson's lawyer, Steve Colodny, appeared at the Los Angeles custody hearing, but wouldn't answer questions.
"No comment about anything," said Colodny.
On the audiotapes, Gibson made it clear that he wanted the baby and her nanny to live with him.
Gibson: "The baby should be here, and she should work at my house."
Grigorieva: "The baby is where I am. You are insane."
Sources close to Gibson reportedly claim Oksana tried to extort more than $10 million from the actor to keep the audiotapes secret.
Gibson: "Just ___ listen to me! Listen to my ___ ranting!"
Steve Whitemore, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff, told INSIDE EDITION how their investigation began.
"She came forward and made an official complaint of domestic violence," said Whitemore.
INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret asked, "Is Mel Gibson being investigated for potential assault with a deadly weapon?"
"Yes, that is one of the allegations," said Whitemore.
Gibson has an ally in his ex-wife, Robyn. She made a sworn declaration on his behalf, saying, "Mel never engaged in any physical abuse of any kind toward me before, during or after our marriage."
But Oksana says her relationship with Gibson was a lot different.
Gibson: "You need a ___ bat in the side of the head! All right? How about that?"
