Surprise Chris Rock Divorce

Comedian Chris Rock is splitting from his wife of 19 years. The news comes on the heels of his biggest movie in years, the just-released Top Five.

Rock’s wife, Malaak, confirmed the breakup in a statement, saying:  "After much contemplation and 19 years of marriage, Chris and I have decided to go our separate ways. While recognizing that this is a significant change, my children remain at the center of my life and their well-being is my top priority."

They have two girls ages 10 and 12. Back in 2006, Chris Rock had divorce papers drawn up but then the couple reconciled.

Fans of Rock's stand-up act know that he's mined his own marriage for laughs for years. Now, he's headed to divorce court for real.
