Middle East Conflict Invades Miss Universe Pageant Over Selfie

A picture of Miss Lebanon standing alongside Miss Israel is causing quite a controversy for her back home. INSIDE EDITION has more.
The Miss Universe Pageant is happening this weekend in Miami, but who would've thought this selfie would be causing an international uproar!
The trouble began when Miss Israel posted the photo on Instagram. She's posing next to Miss Lebanon. The photo caused immediate outrage back home for Miss Lebanon where she was portrayed as a traitor for "fraternizing with the enemy." Israel and Lebanon are still technically at war.
Miss Lebanon tried to do some damage control writing on Facebook that she was photobombed by Miss Israel!
"I was very cautious to avoid being in any photo or communication with Miss Israel. I was having a photo with Miss Japan, Miss Slovenia and myself; suddenly Miss Israel jumped in, took a selfie, and put it on her social media."
Miss Israel then responded on Instagram, "It doesn't surprise me, but it still makes me sad. It's a shame that we can't set all the hostility aside just for the period of the competition."
The pageant's owner, Donald Trump, responded to the controversy, saying, "Well, this is a long standing hatred. This has been going on for many, many years and decades and the level of hatred and the level of animosity and...you see going on to something as beautiful as what is taking place in Miami. It's very sad."
