Jay Leno Weighs In On Cosby Scandal
Jay Leno was asked about the Bill Cosby scandal and the former Tonight Show host was not standing up for his friend. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
Jay Leno weighed in on the Bill Cosby scandal and he's not standing by his old pal.
"I don't know why it's so hard to believe women," Leno said at a conference for TV executives in Miami.
Bill Cosby was a fixture on The Tonight Show throughout Leno's 18 year run, appearing a total of 14 times!
Leno said at the conference, "You go to Saudi Arabia, you need two women to testify against a man. Here you need 25."
He also talked about how the scandal first broke which was during a standup routine by comedian Hannibal Buress.
Leno said at the conference, “He made a flat-out statement that reverberated around the world. If that was on TV, it would have been edited. If it had been on any other medium, it would have been edited. But because somebody just filmed it and put it out there, you're getting your news raw and unfiltered, which I think is fantastic.”
And late night's newest face is also speaking up about the Cosby scandal. Larry Wilmore took over Stephen Colbert's time slot on Comedy Central with The Nightly Show and he's coming out swinging.
Wilmore said, “Tonight we'll be asking if he did it. And the answer will be ‘Yes!’ I would say enough have come forward. The current tally stands at 35 women. Really folks, how many do we need?"
