Michael Keaton Stuffs Acceptance Speech Back in Jacket and More Strange Oscar Moments
The Oscar controversies haven’t stopped yet.
If you kept your eyes on Michael Keaton seconds after the Best Actor Oscar was announced, he was caught stuffing what's believed to be his acceptance speech back in his jacket after losing.
The moment has now gone viral, inspiring the headline: "Michael Keaton Puts Away His Oscars Acceptance Speech in Saddest Vine of All Time."
And controversy is now swirling around Zendaya who competed on Dancing with the Stars and is one of the most popular stars on the Disney Channel.
Her choice to wear her hair in dreadlocks on the red carpet was mocked last night on E!'s Fashion Police by co-host Giuliana Rancic.
Social media went crazy, calling the comment "ignorant" and even "racist."
Whoopi Goldberg commented on The View, saying, "Be careful because you know a lot of people with dreads."
Zendaya herself responded on Instagram, saying, "To say that an 18-year-old young woman with locs must smell of patchouli oil or 'weed' is not only a large stereotype but outrageosly offensive."
Rancic apologized, saying, "Dear @Zendaya, I'm sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian chic look. Had NOTHING to do with race and NEVER would!!!"
Also under intense scrutiny is the awkward moment between Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson and her mom, Melanie Griffith.
Many TV viewers thought Dakota was being incredibly bratty. INSIDE EDITION asked body language expert Lillian Glass to weigh in.
She told INSIDE EDITION, "It looks like 'Oh, there's a conflict,' but there is no conflict body language-wise. Melanie is laughing and Dakota turns abruptly because she wants this topic to end."
Final Oscar ratings are in, and viewership was down a whopping 18% from last year, and host Neil Patrick Harris's performance continues being panned.
"For all Harris' skill and charm, the show too often pushed him past his abilities," said USA Today.
"Bland," said The New York Times.
Donald Trump had this suggestion for next year, saying, "The Academy Awards were absolutely terrible. Boring, ugly sets, everything. I have the perfect host for next year: me."
And, you just knew the late-night comics would have a field day with John Travolta after the jaw-dropping moment with Idina Menzel.
Seth Meyers said, "A lot of Oscar winners used their acceptance speeches last night to push social issues, while John Travolta used his appearance to push Idina Menzel's face."
While Jimmy Fallon commented, "John Travolta was on fire last night. He almost kissed Idina Menzel, then he actually did kiss Scarlett Johansson. But, he wasn't the worst - look! Joe Biden!"
