Teen on Autism Spectrum Steals The Show at Night of Too Many Stars with 'Weird Al'
With all the star-power in one room, it was an autistic teen who wowed the crowd.
Comedy Central’s "Night of Too Many Stars" lived up to its name with the likes of Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Chris Rock, Sarah Silverman, Maya Rudolph, Louis C.K., and many others who were on board to raise money for autism education. But with all of that star power, it was a 13-year-old musician on the autistic spectrum named Jodi DiPiazza who stole the show.
DiPiazza took center stage with ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic who was dolled up in a Jedi robe as they performed “Yoda,” his parody of The Kinks “Lola.” Before the song ended, the duo was joined by a choir of children with autism.
This wasn’t DiPiazza’s first stint at the event. In 2012, she performed “Firework” with Katy Perry. Since 2006, Comedy Central’s "Night of Too Many Stars" has raised over $18 million for autism education.
