Ryan Gosling's Directorial Debut Q&A Interrupted By Woman Proposing To Her Girlfriend
What a note to end on!
Ryan Gosling's directorial debut, Lost River, premiered at the South By Southwest festival this weekend. But his starpower was overshadowed for a moment.
During the Q&A session after the film, a woman raised her hand to ask a question, but instead, took the moment to ask her girlfriend of 11 years to marry her.
Watch Ryan Gosling dancing at 12 Years Old.
When the moderator called on her, she said, "I think your film is amazing. I'm gonna kind of take away from it for a second if I can, and ask my girlfriend of 11 years if she'll marry me."
The cast on stage was visibily stunned, including Gosling's wife Eva Mendes and Saoirse Ronan who covered their mouths as they gasped in surprise. Gosling personally walked the microphone over to the woman to complete the moment. Her girlfriend said yes and were cheered by the crowd.
Without taking away from the sweet moment, Gosling took the mic back and said, "Let's go out on that note, shall we?"
