Canadian 12-Year-Old's Dream of Serenading P!nk in Concert Comes True
It wasn't something she thought would never happen
A 12-year-old had her dream come true as she got to serenade the crowd and her favorite artist P!nk at the star’s concert.
Victoria Anthony, of British Colombia, sang the pop star’s song “Perfect” in front of a crowd of thousands at Roger Arena on Saturday.
Anthony knew she was planning to go to the concert after her mom bought tickets so she started an online campaign to get P!nk to notice her.
“Hey @Pink, please let me sing on stage with you in #Vancouver May 12. I’ll be ready! - Victoria (age 12) Share this video and tag #vicandpink to make my dream come true,” Victoria wrote on Twitter.
On the day of the concert while Victoria was holding a sign saying, “Hey Pink it’s me Victoria Anthony Music, can I sing with you,” the unexpected happen.
“It was a break between songs and she was just talking to the audience and she walked past my sign and, oh here is my sign,” Victoria said.
P!nk asked, “Are you Vic? The one from the news?”
The star came down to where Victoria was near the staged and handed her the mic. She got to sing directly to P!ink.
The singer was clearly shocked at Victoria's voice and seemed to thoroughly enjoy her performance.
“She’s like my idol it was incredible,” Victoria said. “It was so exciting.”
