According to The Associated Press, the unidentified woman noticed her trunk wasn’t fully closed. When she looked inside, she found another woman in it.
When the driver told the stowaway she was going to call the police, the woman lept out of the trunk and ran away.
Police originally thought the woman might have been the victim who was trying to get away from an attacker, but ruled that out once they looked at surveillance footage.
Police in Bowling Green said the woman got injured while running through the woods and voluntarily climbed into the trunk.
