'Ghost Hand' Appears on Boy's Knee in Chilling Family Photo: 'The Creepiest Thing I've Ever Seen'

A Wisconsin father captured a bone-chilling image in a photo of his son, days after the dad suffered a near-death experience himself.
Less than a week after Chris Downing suffered a near-fatal heroin overdose, the father of two snapped a picture with his son and daughter while his family visited him in 2012.
A week later, his daughter called saying the photo appeared to include a "ghost hand" resting on Downing’s little boy’s leg.
"I zoomed in and just yelled out, 'Holy cow!'" Downing told Caters. "I had no idea what the hell it was. I freaked out."
In the photo, it appears a hand is resting just above the knee of Kyle, then 10.
"I showed it to my son and he burst into tears straight away and ran into his room," Downing said. "But he said he didn’t feel anything weird. He still won’t look at the photo to this day."
Downing, who has remained drug-free for four years, told Caters he believes he may have “brought something back” with him after his near-death experience.
"I honestly think it’s a ghost. I don’t know what else it could be,” he said. "I think maybe because I was in such a dark place, spirits were attracted to me. Or I could have bought something paranormal back with me from when I nearly died — like they were clinging on to me.
"It’s the creepiest thing I’ve ever seen."
