Good Samaritans Rush In to Help People Trapped in Smoking Car
More than a dozen people banded together to keep the car from tipping over.
Twenty people rushed to save three people trapped in an SUV in Newport Beach, California, Wednesday.
The crash occurred Wednesday morning after the SUV hit a tree. People immediately rushed in to save everyone inside, not one of them deterred by the very real danger of the smoking vehicle possibly exploding.
Video recorded by a bystander shows how the good Samaritans pushed the tipping vehicle back on its wheels. The car's driver managed to jump out, though the others were left inside.
Newport Beach Fire Department took care of the rest of the rescue. The three people inside the car were taken to hospitals and treated for injuries.
It is still unknown what caused the crash.
