Driver Caught Using 'Most Interesting Man In The World' Cutout In HOV Lane

"He's my best friend."

A Washington State Patrol trooper pulled over a driver who was driving in the car pool lane with an unusual passenger.

When the officer stopped the vehicle, he saw the "passenger" was none-other than a lifesize cardboard cutout of The Most Interesting Man In The World, played by actor Jonathan Goldsmith in the Dos Equis beer commercials.

The driver's response to the officer was, "He's my best friend."

Cops can take your cash even if you did nothing wrong.

Both the driver and the trooper got a good laugh about it, but the driver still got a $124 ticket for violating the HOV lane.

Public information officer Guy Gill said, "He couldn't have had a more recognizable face."

And in a reference to the memorable beer commercial character, the State Patrol tweeted: "I dont' always violate the HOV lane law...but when I do, I get a $124 ticket."

The trooper didn't confiscate the cardboard cutout, but he did tell the driver not to use it again.
