The Emmy nominations were revealed in Hollywood on Thursday and this year's noms were some of the most diverse in recent history.
Game of Thrones swept the Emmy nominations, leading the competition with 24 nods.
The nominations were revealed in Hollywood on Thursday, announced by hosts Uzo Aduba, also known as “Crazy Eyes” from the hit show, Orange Is the New Black, and Cat Deeley from So You Think You Can Dance.

There was a big recognition for Transparent, Amazon's transgender-themed series. It got 11 nominations, including Jeffrey Tambor for Best Actor.
The Emmy's further recognized the increasing diversity of TV, setting up the chance to make history. In the past, an African-American actress has never won Best Actress for Drama, but that might change this year.
Taraji P. Henson is up for Best Actress for Fox's new drama, Empire. Viola Davis is also celebrating a nod for Best Actress.
Host Uzo Aduba reacted on live TV to her nomination. She told INSIDE EDITION, "Mind blowing. I literally thought my head was going to fall off. I was like, 'I can't believe this is happening right now.'"

Pete Hammond of Deadline.com told INSIDE EDITION, "You have so many African-Americans nominated, people of color, across the board here. It is a very big showing for the diversity of television."
There was one big snub: The show, Empire, Fox's smash hit, wasn't nominated.
And Mad Men isn't on the air anymore, but it got 11 nominations including Best Actor for John Hamm who's been nominated before, but never won for his role as Don Draper.
