The wife of the Texas jogger who was randomly hacked to death with a machete reportedly killed herself in the couple’s home two weeks after her husband’s murder, officials said.

Police found Patti Stevens, 54, dead of a suspected suicide Sunday in her Sunnyvale home, where she lived with her husband of 25 years, Dave, since 2009, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Her late husband’s coworkers called police about 2:15 p.m. for a welfare check because they were concerned for Stevens after she didn’t answer her phone on Saturday night or Sunday morning, neighbors told the Morning News.
