A thief in Canada made off with over $1,500 worth of gum from a pharmacy in Markham and police just can't seem to find him.
A thief made off with over a thousand dollars worth of chewing gum from a Canadian pharmacy late last year and police still haven't been able to find him, according to authorities.
York Regional Police say the sticky-fingered man hauled away $1,528 on Dec. 17 by making two trips into the store, both of which were caught on camera.
Surveillance footage appears to show the man dragging a trash bag out of the store in the town of Markham before he comes back, fills another bag, then drags that one out.

What's more, police believe the man loaded both garbage bags into a waiting taxi that became his getaway vehicle.
Despite the alleged thief's brazenness, police just can't seem to track him down.
Along with a YouTube video they posted Jan. 15, York Regional Police wrote: "Investigators have exhausted all leads and are releasing video surveillance as well as images of the suspect and seeking public assistance to identify this man."

The man is described as between 40 to 50 years old and around 5'7" with a salt and pepper beard and dark complexion.
He wore a blue jacket, blue jeans and a blue cap.
