Prince was awake for an incredible 154 hours before his death, according to his brother-in-law.
Maurice Phillips, the husband of Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson, made the claim in an interview following the private memorial for the “Purple Rain” singer over the weekend.
According to reports, Phillips told The Sun: “He worked 154 hours straight. I was with him just last weekend. He was a good brother-in-law."
The “1999” singer was cremated over the weekend after being found dead in an elevator at his Paisley Park estate outside Minneapolis, Minnesota on Thursday. He was just 57.
Phillips also told The Sun that the family plans to turn the estate into a museum in the musician’s memory.
“It would be for the fans. He was all about the fans -- this would remember his music, which is his legacy. Prince was always private but would have wanted his music remembered,” he said.
The results from his autopsy will not be available for a few weeks.
