Sporting events across the nation are turning into patriotic rallies in the wake of the death of Osama bin Laden. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
There was a moving ceremony in Miami at a playoff game between the Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat. A military honor guard held up a fifty-foot flag as everyone sang the National Anthem.
And just a few miles from Ground Zero in New York, a Marine Sergeant put her heart into the song at a baseball game between the Mets and the San Francisco Giants.
Meanwhile, the late night comics have found a comic gold mine in the death of Osama bin Laden.
"Could it have been any more obvious? Look at the man's mailbox, for God's sakes!" joked The Daily Show's Jon Stewart, showing a mailbox with "World's Most Wanted Terrorist" emblazoned on the side.
And Leno got in a cheap shot: "The hot new drink in bars now is the bin Laden. It's a Colt 45 and a shot that goes right to your head."
ABC's Jimmy Kimmel said, "Bin Laden's final words, and this is interesting, "Are you guys here about the dishwasher?"
"God bless the Republicans, they're very happy about the Osama bin Laden raid and today, they were so impressed with President Obama they granted him full citizenship," said David Letterman.
And Kimmel played a special version of Rebecca Black's notorious music video "Friday," with a cameo by Osama bin Laden.
