Wedding Puts New Meaning Into 'Taking The Plunge'

It was one memorable wedding when a dock collapsed, sending the wedding party into a lake. INSIDE EDITION has the story.

Jackie and Dan Anderson wanted a memorable wedding, and they sure got one for the books.

The wedding party of 22 bridesmaids and groomsmen was way to much weight for the narrow dock on Cross Lake in Minnessota as the dock collapsed, sending the wedding party into the water.

Megan Fritze was the wedding videographer. She told INSIDE EDITION, "I looked up, looked at the wedding party, they were all standing there and there was a loud pop. The next thing I knew, it started sinking."

All this took place before the ceremony. That's right, the bride had to say 'I do' in a soaking wedding gown.

Christie said, "I thought this was a pretty cool bride. Her first concern wasn't the dress, it wasn't her day. It was just, 'Are you capturing this? Because this is funny.' "

Now, we've seen this before. Last year in Gainsville, Florida, a wedding party tumbled into a lake.

And in Michigan, it was all smiles and then, boom! They all end up in the water.

Hey, they say it's good luck if it rains on your wedding day, but a plunge in the lake? We sure hope so.
