After 10 days of silence in the midst of the biggest scandal ever to hit the NFL, the league's commissioner, Roger Goodell, spoke at a press conference. INSIDE EDITION has the latest.
Embattled NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell finally speaks out after 10 days of silence.
Goodell held a news conference in New York City Friday afternoon about the scandals rocking the league.
"Unfortunately, over the past several weeks we have seen all too much of the NFL doing wrong. That starts with me," said Goodell. "The same mistakes can never be repeated."
It's the first time Goodell has spoken to the media since a CBS News interview after the Ray Rice elevator video was leaked. He's been silent ever since, even as the scandal expanded to Minnesota Vikings superstar Adrian Peterson and others.
Goodell has faced withering headlines like: "Where's Roger Goodell?"
And last night, ESPN's Keith Olbermann lashed out, saying, "He personally will assume the responsibility for fixing as much as this as can be fixed."

In a new poll, a whopping 86% of fans say the scandals won't change the amount of football games they watch. Just 11% say it will. [Source: NBC News/Marist poll]
Meanwhile, thousands of Baltimore Ravens fans lined up Friday morning to cut ties once and for all with their former hero Ray Rice. The line stretched for blocks outside the stadium as fans were given the chance to exchange their #27 Rice jerseys for a different Ravens player.
