Man Banned From Disney World for Flashing 'Trump 2020' Sign on Splash Mountain Says He Just Wanted 'Keepsake'

Disney revoked Dion Cini's pass "as a result of repeatedly not following park rules."

A Disney World superfan is hitting back after he claims he was banned from the theme park after raising a "Trump 2020" sign while riding Splash Mountain.

Dion Cini, 49, was on the popular ride in Orlando when he tried to show his support for President Trump's re-election, flashing the sign as he passed a number of cameras on the ride.

"I decided that I wanted to get a photograph taken as I was going over the falls," Cini, who lives in New York, told Inside Edition. "So I held up my sign a couple of times."

When he got off the ride, he said he was pulled to the side, where he "was greeted by about 40 Disney employees," as well as two sheriff's deputies, and escorted out of the park.

It was not the first time he's landed in hot water with Disney. About six weeks before the most recent incident, Cini was warned by Disney officials for displaying an enormous Trump banner at the Main Street Train Station in Magic Kingdom.

After the most recent incident, Disney revoked Cini's pass "as a result of repeatedly not following park rules," which state that "demonstrations and the display of signs and banners is not permitted on the premises."

But Cini insisted that he's seen hundreds of similar photos online featuring signs of the type he held up and doesn't understand what the issue is.

"I just wanted a keepsake for myself," he said.
