Peter Levesque was driving home from lunch when his normal route home was closed. Forced to take a detour, he passed through the town of Raynham and stopped at a gas station, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.
It was there that he decided to buy a scratch off lottery ticket. Turns out, it was a winner worth $10 million.
Levesque opted for the cash pay out, which got him a whopping $6.5 million. He hopes to use his winnings to either build or buy a new home.
