“The Batman,” starring Robert Pattinson and directed by Matt Reeves, is being called “the darkest Batman yet.” In the highly anticipated movie, the focus is on a crime wave in the big city of Gotham. Some are saying the film reminds them of New York, which has seen a spike in crime over the last few years. In one scene, a gang surrounds an Asian person in the subway before they’re stopped by Batman. In the real New York, there have been a string of horrific attacks on Asian Americans.
