Woman Says She Was Denied a Mammogram Due to Her Age

A former model is battling breast cancer after she felt a lump on her breast and was denied a mammogram because of her young age. Philecia La'Bounty says she was 29 years old when she felt the lump. Instead of receiving a mammogram, she says she was given a simple ultrasound scan at a health clinic. They told her it was a benign cyst. A few months later, she returned to the clinic with a bigger lump. La'Bounty was given an emergency mammogram and was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
