Earthquakes in Iceland and Japan Rattle Homes and People
The earth has been quaking lately. Tremors reaching 5.6 on the Richter scale recently hit Iceland. A Reykjavik resident captured this rocking in his living room. Kiddi Agnarsson told Reuters it felt like being in a boat on the waves. No major damage was reported. But the same could not be said for northeastern Japan, which was shaken by a 7.3 magnitude quake a few days earlier. One man recorded the experience while he was taking a bath. "This is not good," he shouted.
