Israeli Scientists Use 3D Bioprinter to Create ‘Cancerous Tumor’

A team from the University of Tel Aviv is using a 3D bioprinter to help develop new cancer-fighting treatments. The Israeli researchers start by taking a portion of an actual brain tumor to help build their model. Then, using MRI or CT scans, they create a replica of the tumor, on which they can test treatments. Professor Ronit Satchi-Fainaro told CBS News, 'This is one of the hottest areas in research.”
