Minnesota Couple Adopts 5 Children With Down Syndrome

Leah Spring doesn't seem to think what she's doing is extraordinary. But between 2010 and 2015, Spring adopted five children with Down syndrome after taking a trip to Eastern Europe with a friend who was also adopting. Together with her partner Dean, the pair have a total of 12 children. Spring was inspired to expand her family by her biological daughter, who also lives with Down syndrome. Spring did it all while battling breast cancer.
