The "Gilgo Beach murders" were the subject of public fascination for the last 13 years. Some called it "The Lost Girls," while others referred to the case as "The Long Island Serial Killer" after the isolated stretch on Long Island's Gilgo Beach where the bodies of nine women and one man were found murdered.
