World’s Heaviest Strawberry Grown in Israel Weighs More Than Half a Pound

That’s one heavy berry! In fact, Guinness World Records says it’s the world’s heaviest strawberry, weighing in at 10.19 ounces. That’s more than half a pound! It was grown in Israel last year and has been kept in the freezer since then as the farmer that grew it awaited news of its record-breaking status. The breed of strawberry is called Ilan and they tend to grow bigger and heavier than more common types of strawberries. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.
