Parking Lesson Ends With Car in Maryland Pool
The cause of the incident is not yet clear.
A parking lesson turned into a swimming lesson after a rookie driver wound up in a Maryland community pool.
Officials found a car inside the pool at North Creek Community Center over the weekend after a “driver error during a parking practice session,” Maryland’s Montgomery County Fire and Rescue service said.
Both the driver and passenger were able to climb out of the vehicle unharmed.
Authorities said the occupants of the car were a man and woman in their 50s and 60s, but it’s not clear who was behind the wheel before the swimming pool plunge.
The pool was closed for the season at the time of the incident.
