Pink Hugs 14-Year-Old Whose Mom Recently Died: 'It Was a Hug From Heaven'

The teen held up a sign for the star to see.

An Australian teen who recently lost her mom had her dream come true when she received a hug from singer Pink during one of concerts.

Leah Murphy, 14, had originally intended to attend the singer’s tour with her mom, Debbie, but her mother passed away earlier this year.

So when Pink performed on in Brisbane on Monday, Murphy went with her older cousin.

Holding up a sign that read, “I'm 14 years old. I lost my beautiful Mum last month. I would LOVE a hug … Please!," Leah was just happy to be there.

“Leah was singing and just so excited," Leah’s cousin, Katrina Donkin, told InsideEdition.com. “We waved the signs as often as we could whenever Pink looked our way and eventually she squinted and said, ‘What is that over there?’”

That’s when the star motioned for Leah to come forward.

“I said to Leah, ‘You’re going to get your hug, sweetheart!’” Donkin said.

And that she did.

Pink gave the teen a long hug. Leah also got to take selfies with the Grammy Award winner.

"I was crying a lot," Leah told Yahoo. "She was like 'you look really pretty' and she was nice and she was like, "everything is going to be okay."

Leah’s mom also loved Pink so the family took it as a sign.

“I truly believe her mom orchestrated the whole thing. It was a hug from heaven,” Donkin said. “She hasn’t stopped smiling, skipping, singing [and] dancing.”
