President Trump Rips 'Filthy' Red Hen Restaurant After It Refused Service to Sarah Huckabee Sanders

The restaurant's Yelp rating has plummeted in the wake of the incident, in which the owner asked Sanders and her family to leave.

President Trump is slamming the Virginia restaurant that booted his press secretary Friday night.

The commander in chief took to Twitter Monday morning, attacking the restaurant after its owner asked Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders to leave.

"The Red Hen restaurant should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders," Trump tweeted. "I always had a rule, if a restaurant is dirty on the outside, it is dirty on the inside!"

The press secretary headed to the tiny farm-to-table restaurant in rural Lexington, Va., to kick off her weekend with her husband and six others. However, the owner asked her to leave because she works for a quote "inhumane and unethical" administration.

Following the incident, the Yelp page of the Red Hen restaurant became a political battleground, with a number of negative reviews by those in support of the Trump administration.

"[The Red Hen is] perfect for serving hatred and bitter spirits to its liberal customers," one Yelp user posted.

The restaurant used to enjoy mostly five-star reviews but its rating has now plummeted to less than two stars.

But there are also messages of support, including one that read: "Love the fact the owner stands up for her morals."

Sanders took to Twitter Saturday to announce that she was asked to leave by the restaurant by its owner the night before.

While the president — a known germophobe — may claim the restaurant is "filthy," Inside Edition found the health inspector's report on the restaurant. As of four months ago, no violations were reported.

The Red Hen incident comes on the heels of other Trump supporters and cabinet members facing anger when going out in public.

Florida's Attorney General Pam Bondi, a Trump supporter, was shouted down at a movie theater over the weekend, with protesters screaming "Shame!" at her.

After watching the new documentary about beloved and compassionate children’s TV host, Fred Rogers, Bondi had a police escort as she left the theater.

Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was heckled for eating at a Mexican restaurant as the president’s “zero-tolerance” policy of separating children from their parents at the border was in effect.
