What Does the Future Hold for Jussie Smollett's Career?
How will the actor's career move forward after he's been charged with allegedly filing a false police report?
Jussie Smollett's acting career is up in the air following allegations he staged a racist and homophobic attack on himself.
Smollett has been dropped from the show “Empire.”
TNT says it won't air his upcoming appearance on "Drop That Mic." In the episode, originally scheduled to air March 6, he takes part in a rap battle with Danielle Brooks from “Orange Is the New Black.”
TNT says it's shelving the episode "in the interest of not being exploitative of an incredibly sensitive situation."
Public relations guru Ronn Torossian of 5W PR spoke to Inside Edition about Smollett’s future.
"What brand would want to go near him? What franchise would want to touch him? What network would want to be in business with him? I think he past the point of no return and I think his career is finished," he said.
Smollett has been released on bond after being charged with allegedly falsely filing a police report, but the star is maintaining his innocence, reportedly pleading with the “Empire” cast to believe his story.
