Chilling Video Shows Mom Begging Cops: 'I Don't Want to Die in Your Jail Cell'

A new video shows Ohio woman Ralkina Jones pleading with police hours before her death.

Ohio mom Ralkina Jones pleaded with police during her arrest, telling them: "I don’t want to die in your cell."

The 37-year-old was found dead in her cell in Cleveland Heights on July 26. A cause of death has not yet been determined, but an autopsy found no suspicious injuries.

Newly-released footage shows her pleading with cops during her arrest two days earlier.

Jones was arrested July 24 after her ex-husband reported she had assaulted him.

Cops said that paramedics took her to a medical facility for an evaluation the night before she died. They were checking on her after she returned to jail, they said.

Her death comes just weeks after Sandra Bland was found hanging in a Texas jail cell on July 13. A preliminary autospy revealed Bland's death was a suicide but her family expressed doubts that she would kill herself and called for an investigation.

Bland was arrested following a confrontation with a trooper during a July 10 routine traffic stop. When she couldn’t post the $5,000 bail, she was placed in this jail cell as she scraped the money together.
