One Year and 7,500 Legos Later, 'Star Wars' Fan Makes An Epic Millennium Falcon
Star Wars: The Force Awakens became the fastest movie to ever gross a billion dollars, taking just 12 days to make the feat.
It beat out this summer’s Jurassic World, which took 13 days to cross the billion dollar mark.
The Force Awakens also became the highest grossing movie on Christmas Day, taking in a record $49.3 million.
As the latest installment continues to break box office records, one fan took his love of the franchise to new heights.
Hannes Tscharner, who goes by the name Marshal Banana on Flickr, created a mini Millennium Falcon from 7,500 pieces of LEGOs.
It took the 32-year-old from Munich, Germany one year to do it.
He wrote on his Flickr page: “My main goal was to present the model in a flying position, which was a huge task.”
His model weighs 22 pounds and stands 32 inches long by 21 inches wide by seven inches deep, he said.
