Margot Gerster was hiking with her 13-month-old daughter, Phoebe, to clear her head after the election results when she came upon Bill and Hillary Clinton.

“I saw a couple of people and two little dogs walking toward me and as I got closer, I realized it was Bill and Hillary Clinton,” Gerster told Inside Edition. “I asked to take a picture with her and he offered to take it for me, and the rest is history.”

Gerster posted the photo to her Facebook page Thursday afternoon and it quickly spread.

“We talked about my daughter and she asked about my dog. I gave her a hug and told her how happy I was to vote for her and really that was it. It wasn't anything too serious,” she told Inside Edition.

While watching Clinton’s concession speech Wednesday, Gerster said: "All I wanted to do is hug her... and tell her how proud I was to take my daughter with me to vote.

“Then I got to see her and actually do that and that's crazy amazing spectacular!”
