As America Freezes, It's Warmer Than You Think in Alaska

It's cold all over, except maybe in Alaska. The northernmost state, known for its chilly temps, is having something of a heat wave. On Tuesday, temperatures hit 44 degrees, tying a record high for that date, and residents of The Last Frontier were actually seen donning T-shirts! The National Weather Service says it's twice as warm as usual, thanks to high- and low-pressure systems pushing tropical air northward.
